Mr. Sam Gravlee Director of Bands Corner Middle School
Mr. Sam Gravlee has been the Director of Bands at Corner Middle School since 2025. He currently teaches 5th grade general music, beginning band, concert band and assists with the Corner High School Band, including the Marching Jacket Band!
Mr. Gravlee previously served as the Director of Bands at Chilton County High School. He taught the Pride of Chilton County Marching Band, Pep Band, Concert Band, Beginning Band, Music Appreciation and assisted at Clanton Middle School when time allowed.
Mr. Gravlee is a proud Samford University Alumnus, earning his degree in Music Education in 2023. His primary instrument is the bassoon, but also plays the saxophone. During his time at Samford, he participated in marching band, pep band, concert band, orchestra, jazz band and chamber groups.
Mr. Adam Murphy Director of Bands Corner High School
Mr. Adam Murphy has been the Director of Bands at Corner High School since 2020. He previously served as Assistant Director of Bands at Huntingdon College for 9 years, as well as on the Music Department Faculty. A native of Cleveland, TN, he received his Bachelor of Music Education from Samford University and his Master of Education from Troy University.
Mr. Murphy is happily married to his wife Tiffany and loves being the father of his three beautiful children, Pierce, Hallie and Max.
